The nickel and chromium plating process is widely used in mechanical engineering as well as in sectors such as furniture or plumbing.
The process can be applied to parts made of steel, brass, zinc alloy, and aluminum. In recent years, for environmental reasons, the use of trivalent chromium has been introduced as a replacement for hexavalent chromium.
